Frequent Questions

Getting a Quote & Payment Options

Frequent questions about receiving a quote and payment options from YearRoundLights.com.

A: Request a quote online or by phone, and we’ll schedule a quick consultation. We’ll measure your roofline and ask a few questions about what you want—front-only vs full perimeter, zones, brightness, and color goals. Then we’ll provide a clear estimate based on your home’s layout and install complexity.

A: Yes—our quotes are free and there’s no obligation. The goal is to give you real numbers and a clear plan, not a sales pitch. If you decide to move forward, we’ll help you pick an install date that works for your schedule.

A: The biggest factors are total linear footage and roofline complexity (peaks, dormers, multiple levels). Access matters too—steeper roofs, taller homes, and tighter work areas take more time and equipment. Power-source location and whether you want multiple zones can also impact the final price.

A: In many cases, yes—we can offer payment options that make it easier to get installed without paying everything upfront. Availability can vary based on project size and current program options. Ask during your quote and we’ll explain what’s available and what monthly pricing could look like.

A: Most customers pay by card, ACH/bank transfer, or check. We’ll confirm your options on your invoice so there are no surprises. If you need a specific payment method, just let us know ahead of time.

A: Typically, yes—a deposit reserves your place on the schedule and helps cover materials ordered for your home. The remaining balance is usually due after installation is completed and you’ve had a walkthrough. We’ll spell out the exact deposit amount and timing in writing before you book.

A: Sometimes we can provide a rough range from photos, but accurate pricing usually requires measuring and confirming access and power. Rooflines can be deceiving in pictures, and small details can change the install approach. If you’re just looking to ballpark it, photos are a good starting point.

Frequent Questions

Before, During & After Installation

Frequent questions about our before installation process.

Most homes are completed in a single day. Larger homes or complex rooflines may take longer.

Sometimes. If we’re connecting power near an attic, garage, or an interior outlet, we may need brief access. We’ll tell you ahead of time.

Our goal is a clean, weather-safe install. In many cases, we can route wiring through soffits/eaves and existing transitions. If any penetration is required, it’s sealed and protected using exterior-rated materials and best practices.

We install for a “hidden by day” look whenever possible—tight cable management, discreet hardware placement, and clean routing.

Yes. We’ll walk you through the app, show you how to change colors/scenes, set schedules, and adjust brightness/zones.

Contact us. We’ll troubleshoot remotely first (often it’s a simple setting or connection), then schedule service if needed.

Very little. Occasionally, you may want to rinse off heavy pollen/dust buildup. Otherwise, it’s mostly “set it and forget it.”

Frequent Questions

10/4 Warranty & Service

Frequent questions about our 10/4 parts and labor warranty and other services questions.

It covers system components (parts) for 10 years and workmanship/labor for 4 years from the installation date, under normal use and conditions.
Parts are the physical components (lighting modules, control hardware, and related system parts). Labor is the time and work required to diagnose, access, and repair/replace covered items.
Common exclusions include damage from accidents, storms or fallen limbs, power surges beyond typical conditions, modifications by other contractors, misuse, or issues caused by third-party electrical changes after installation.
In many cases, yes (or we can offer a transfer option). Ask us and we’ll explain the process and any requirements.
Just contact us with your name/address and a description (photos help). We’ll troubleshoot, confirm coverage, and schedule service if needed.
Final payment is typically due upon completion—after the walkthrough, app setup, and you’re happy with the install.
Warranty coverage generally requires the account to be in good standing and paid in full, since it’s tied to completed project fulfillment.
